Indexation
What Indexation means
Indexation increases your sum assured each year in line with an inflation measure such as RPI or CPI, or by a fixed percentage, with premiums rising to match. Over a 25-year term, inflation roughly halves what a fixed payout can buy, so indexation — or choosing increasing term cover — keeps the protection meaningful. You can usually decline an annual increase if you prefer.
